Shorter Days, Louder Nights: Make Music This Fall at Milk St

Fall is one of my favorite times of year in NH and before you know it, we'll be spending a lot more time indoors. For musicians, that's not necessarily a bad thing.

As the days get shorter and the weather gets colder, it's a great opportunity to spend a little more time doing something creative. Maybe that means getting the band back together, finally learning a new instrument, working on some original music, or just finding a few people to jam with.

Whatever it looks like, we hope you'll consider making Milk St part of your routine this fall and winter.

More than just a place to practice

One of the things I've enjoyed most about building Milk St is seeing the relationships that have developed here. Musicians who didn't know each other a year ago are now playing in bands together, collaborating on projects, and becoming good friends.

That's really what we hoped to create from the beginning. Not just a building with rehearsal rooms, but a place where musicians can meet, share ideas, learn from each other, and feel like they're part of something.

And you don't need to be in a band or have years of experience to be part of it. Some of the best connections we've seen have started with someone simply showing up to an open jam.

A good way to spend a winter evening

I think most of us can relate to getting stuck in the same routine during the colder months. It's easy to head home after work, turn on the TV, and call it a night.

There's nothing wrong with that, of course. But I've found that spending a couple of hours playing music with other people is one of the best ways to clear my head and recharge. It's something I'd love for more people to experience.

Whether you're looking for a regular place to rehearse, some new people to play with, or just a reason to get out of the house and do something you enjoy, we'd love to have you.

Here's to a great fall and winter of making music together.

See you at Milk St!
