Brad Barbarisi,
Music Instructor
Brad is a passionate and dedicated music educator, who brings both creativity and structure to every lesson, creating an engaging and supportive environment where students can grow musically and confidently. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from the University of New Hampshire and has over a decade of teaching experience, including 10 years of private instruction and 5 years teaching in a public school setting.
He currently teaches at Nute Middle High School, where he works with a wide range of ensembles and classes, including general music, concert band, jazz band, rock band, chorus, guitar, piano, and musical theater.
He specializes but is not limited to teaching guitar, bass, and saxophone lessons. He works with students from beginner to intermediate levels. His teaching approach is student-centered and emphasizes strong fundamentals in technique, music theory, and ear training, while also encouraging creativity, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for music.

Jesse Kessler,
Music Instructor
I’ve been playing drums and guitar for over 20 years. I have a music minor degree from the university of New Hampshire and work as a gigging musician. My Mom was a music teacher and my brother was a guitarist. Music has always been part of my upbringing. When I was 12, I became enamored with the local punk rock scene in my hometown and have been playing in bands ever since.
Mainly self taught, I like to teach in a way where you set the agenda. Whether it’s theory based, song writing, or learning your favorite songs I’m there to help you accomplish your goals along the way. Music is my passion and no matter what skill level you are, I’m excited to be around anyone who shares that same interest. I offer half hour, 45 min, and hour lessons. I offer guitar, bass, and drum lessons.

Smooth Tony can also show you precision manipulation of recorded tracks, mixing them into a cohesive song, and understanding the core fundamentals of mastering.

Smooth Tony is a Berklee College of Music graduate who discovered his passion for writing and recording early on. Throughout his career, he has fronted multiple bands as the lead vocalist, guitarist, and primary songwriter. Though a guitarist at heart, Tony plays every instrument on his independent tracks. Today, he boasts a prolific library of 93 songs across various singles and albums available on Bandcamp (smoothtony.bandcamp.com) and major streaming platforms. With four decades of experience spanning live performance, programming, sound design, and full-scale audio production—from recording to mastering—Tony has the expertise to tackle almost any musical project.
Jarred Garneau,
Guitar Instructor
Jarred Garneau is a guitarist and singer/songwriter from the New Hampshire Seacoast. With a penchant for experimentation and eclecticism, while also firmly rooted in American music, Jarred performs and teaches blues, R&B, funk, jazz, gospel, rock and roll, and world music.
He holds a Bachelor's in Guitar Performance from Berklee College Of Music. Jarred is an in-demand freelance guitarist in the area, and Jarred’s latest project is “The Jarred Garneau Group”, which has played venues such as BPM, The Stone Church, and has opened up for The Bruce Katz Band.

Lindsay Garfield,
Vocal Instructor
Lindsay studied classical vocal performance at the University of Miami School of Music. She has toured internationally and has performed live on NPR Mountain Stage, The Fillmore West, and Good Morning America. Lindsay sings in a number of Seacoast-based bands, including Tiny Dog Fight, The Todd Hearon Band, and The Slowcooker Band. She teaches parent/child music with Little Groove Music, private vocal instruction and The Songwriters Lab series at Milk St Studios. Over the course her twenty-five year career, she has seamlessly implemented her training into countless styles and genres, allowing her to maintain a healthy vocal instrument. Lindsay has helped her students with:
-intonation/pitch,
-style, phrasing, and rhythm
-dynamics (loud/soft, belting, mix, “head voice”, etc)
-resonance, breathing, posture
-vowels/consonants/enunciation
-singing while playing an instrument, performance, mic technique

JOrdan Scott,
Drum Instructor
I’m a New Hampshire–based drummer with over 10 years of experience specializing in jazz drum set, along with a wide range of percussion instruments. I began my formal training studying Music Education at Keene State College, where I developed a strong foundation in music theory, rhythm, and instructional methods before ultimately pivoting my career path to firefighting.
I offer drum lessons for all skill levels — from complete beginners who have never picked up sticks to advanced drummers looking to refine their playing style, strengthen rudimental technique, and deepen their rhythmic understanding. Lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, with a strong emphasis on fundamentals, musicality, and confident, intentional playing. Email me to schedule your first lesson!
Jake SMith,
Drum Instructor
Jake has been a student of the drums his entire life. While studying at the University of New Hampshire, he earned his Bachelor of Music Degree in Percussion Performance and had the chance to study with Nancy Smith (PSO, Boston Ballet), and Les Harris Jr. (The Ritz, Artie Shaw). With over a decade of teaching experience, Jake has helped hundreds of students become more musical versions of themselves and guides them towards finding self-fulfillment in music.
He maintains a busy performance schedule around New England as a freelance musician, well-educated in styles including: jazz, rock, blues, reggae, bluegrass, and jazz fusion. He has performed at major international festivals such as Montreux Jazz Festival and Umbria Jazz Festival.

Clarinet lessons:
I’ve been performing on the clarinet for nearly 20 years, playing in wind ensembles, orchestras, small groups, and solo. I currently play as part of Seacoast Wind Ensemble, a concert band based out of Kittery, and serve as the clarinet section leader. I also play solo and as part of a clarinet duo group locally.
I believe it’s never too late to start playing a woodwind instrument! Whether you are a student looking to advance your playing or an adult beginner, we can work together on hand position, embouchure, reading and interpreting music, rhythms, intonation, and more.
Recorder lessons:
The last time you played the recorder might have been in elementary school, but learning the recorder is a fun and versatile way to start playing a wind instrument!
