Milk St. Studios is hosting Musician Networking Night: Find Your Next Bandmate, a low-pressure, conversation-focused mixer for local musicians, singers, songwriters, producers, and bands looking to meet each other.
This is not a jam night or performance night. It’s a chance to talk music, share what you’re working on, meet people with similar goals, and make real connections in the local music community.
Whether you’re starting a band, looking to join one, filling out a lineup, writing songs, producing, booking shows, or simply trying to meet more people in the scene, this night is built for connection.

Guitar/Bass Setup 101 with John Ayer
Learn how to properly set up and maintain your guitar or bass in this hands-on workshop with John Ayer. Designed for players who want to better understand their instrument. This session covers the T.R.A.I.N setup method, where you will learn all the fundamentals of action, neck relief, intonation, tremolo systems, and overall playability.
John will walk you through how he evaluates guitars for common issues and adjustments, giving you practical knowledge you can apply at home to keep your instrument playing its best. Perfect for beginners, hobbyists, and working musicians alike. $15 Members/$20 Non-members

This is a casual hang for musicians, collectors, gear heads, and anyone looking to buy, sell, trade, or just spend the afternoon around the local music community.

Live Recording Session - Drifter's Debt
Behind the Curtain: Drifters Debt Recording Session

Drifters Debt is opening one of its recording sessions to Milk Street Studios members. Members can stop in throughout the day, observe the recording process, ask questions during natural breaks, and see how a song is built one instrument at a time. The session will move from drum tracking into bass, rhythm and lead guitars, viola, vocals, harmonies, and additional creative overdubs. This is a real working recording session rather than a formal class, so the timing may shift throughout the day depending on how the session progresses. Members can stay for the full session or pop in during the parts they are most interested in. This is separate from the full-band recording lock-in experience currently being developed through the Milk Street Studios recording program. It is simply another opportunity for members to get a peek behind the curtain, learn something, and watch musicians and recording engineers work through a song in real time. Take a look and let me know if there is anything we should adjust before we start promoting it and finalize the plan for the room and equipment.

Little Groove Music
Little Groove is coming to the Milk St. Lounge!
Starting soon, we’ll be hosting Little Groove music events every Thursday morning from 9:30–10:30 AM right here in the Milk St. Lounge.

Looking for your next bandmate, collaborator, or creative connection?
Milk St. Studios is hosting Musician Networking Night: Find Your Next Bandmate, a low-pressure, conversation-focused mixer for local musicians, singers, songwriters, producers, and bands looking to meet each other.
This is not a jam night or performance night. It’s a chance to talk music, share what you’re working on, meet people with similar goals, and make real connections in the local music community.
Whether you’re starting a band, looking to join one, filling out a lineup, writing songs, producing, booking shows, or simply trying to meet more people in the scene, this night is built for connection.
This is one of a few new community concepts we’re testing at Milk St. Keep an eye out for things like Project Pitch Night, Demo Listening Circle, Songwriter Swap, Producer/Artist Matchmaking, etc..

Tuesday Jam Night
Every Tuesday from 7:00–9:30 PM
Come hang, play, listen, and meet other musicians in the Milk St. community. Jam Night is open to a mix of players and styles, with different rooms offering different vibes throughout the night.
Room flow typically includes:
Lounge: more acoustic, stripped-back, and conversational
Beatles Room: familiar covers and standard jam tunes
Petty Room: freeform jams with a looser, groove-focused feel
Bring your instrument, jump in where it feels right, and connect with other players.

Tone Talk - Club
Tone Talk is a casual meetup for guitar players, gear enthusiasts, and anyone curious about shaping their sound. Bring one pedal, amp, guitar, or other piece of gear to show off, ask questions about, and discuss with the group.
Keeping it to one featured item per person gives everyone more time to dig into the details and leaves plenty more to talk about in the weeks ahead.
All experience levels are welcome.

Songwriting Intensive
Songwriting Intensive with Lindsay
Thursdays, July 9–August 13
6:30–8:30 PM
Join Lindsay for a six-week songwriting intensive designed for writers of all experience levels, whether you are working on your first song or your thousandth. Each session will focus on developing ideas, strengthening lyrics and melodies, and building confidence in your creative process.
Drop-in sessions are $20, or you can sign up for the full series for $100. The full series includes participation in the August 20 showcase and potluck.
Open to ages 16+.
