“Sixteen Bars” is now live on all the streamers. Spotify, YouTube, iTunes, Amazon, Tidal, etc…

I wrote this song years ago after being inspired by something my buddy Jimmy Swiss said on Facebook. I think he intended it to be a rap song but in my head, I heard old school country. I cut a demo but it just never sounded right with my voice on the 3 part harmony and I really just didn’t have a home for an old school country kind of song. Fast forward at least a decade and I decided it was time to do something with it. I realized it really needed a female voice so I asked my Slowcooker buddy Lindsay Garfield if she would sing and she stepped up! Parish Dawe offered to record at Milk Street Studios in Dover. I roped Dan Beller McKenna in to play pedal steel and while at Milk St I grabbed Jarred Garneau as he was walking by and asked him to lay down some slide guitar on right on the spot. (grace under pressure!) Last but not least I wheeled in one of best and oldest friends, Jamie Perkins to slap the leather couch in the studio and tie the whole room together. All I had to do was play bass and rhythm guitar! Tim Sullivan at The Secret Agency knocked out some perfect cover art and there you have it.
